how would you ship a hood?

Default how would you ship a hood?

i might sell my OEM hood to someone in miami.. i have never shipped anything as big as the hood so im not sure how to do it. do i just take it to post office and have them ship it for me? and how much does it cost? for those people who's done this before..

the post office won't ship or package it, its too big. i used my CF box to ship my oem hood and basically they protected the CF hood with some square foam all around the edges and boxed it in a big duarable box. the best bet is to take it to a UPS Store and have the box and ship it. That way if it gets damaged, they'll liable because they boxed it!

Good Luck and be ready to spend $100 or so!

Forward Air
USF Holland
BAX Global

within the Midwest, try Towne Air or Tax Air or Midwest Express. all should be < $1 / lb (and hence much cheaper than UPS/FedEx ground)

* all trucking/freight forwarding comanies *

someone on the board just paid UPS store (and now i'm force to share this cost) $100 to ship tanabe dual catback exhaust to me from MI to Chicago. needless to say, i'm quite pissed...
