Is that how you drive an S2000?

Wow. That sounds like a prefectly reasonable thing to do. Kids try to race you. Try to Make them crash. Hmm. Skip the asking politely business go straight for the kill.

I don't know why everyone is associating a screaming engine note with "reckless" driving. Yes, I drive my S2000 like a sportbike but it doesn't mean that I drive recklessly. eg. If I'm on an onramp merging into a fairly empty highway, I might VTEC through 2nd, and 3rd, and partially in 4th before shutting it down. This car was built to rev, and rev like a mutha it does. Not to mention, that many owners like myself, rev match and/or heel and toe on downshifts - in my case, I practically do it when coming to every stop. This car was built to be driven with passion
It doesn't take an S2000 to be reckless, and high revs or sound doesnt equal reckless driving. Just my 2 cents.
To paraphrase what Motortrend said, to enjoy driving the S2000, drive it like you hate it.
And to quote European Car:
"In the end I can tell how much fun a car is by how it makes me drive. In the S2000, I'm a raging ass hole. I want to hit 9000 RPM at shift, every stop sign requires threshold braking and every corner is a power slide. Owning an S2000 would wreak havoc on my driving record, but that extra $20,000 will pay a lot of legal bills - advantage Honda" (Face-to-Face comparison with a Porsche Boxster S).

I get really pissed off at people trying to race me on populated public streets. It is immature, irresponsible, wreckless, and just plain stupid.
I had 2 teenagers in daddy's vette (or daddy's money's vette) follow me around town trying to coax me into racing on wet roads in a populated area. I finally had enough. They pulled up alongside revving the engine and yelling out the window...and I swerved hard at them pulling up just short of their door. The driver swerved to avoid and then over corrected leaving his vette backwards in the middle of the road.
I'm still scared of getting rock chips on my fresh paint, so.. yeah. I drive like a granny most of the time.
I DO some spirited driving from time to time, but nothing like the OP described.
Bad driving record = $$$

i tend to drive speed limit +5 most of the time, but that is what everyone else is doing for the most part as well, so i dont really stand out in my driving habbits. From time to time I do admit that I have opened it up for a few seconds just for fun. Always when there are not any cars around though.
Hi guys i am new to this forum, just got my S five days back, I like taking the car to the max on the straights but i'll generally brake alot when it comes to turns, as i used to drive an evoix, i guess i am pampered by the emmense power and handling of the car. But currently i am still pushing it only to 4k as i am still running in.
