it sucks... poor design and bad filter. if you read the "physics behind intakes" thread you will undertand why.

I think your AEM intake is probably one of the better working CAI's out there. Besides the hydro-locking issues, switching over to the PRM won't be beneficial. Is there any reason why you want to do the switch?

if you wouldn't mind throwing in an xtra buck fifty, spoons intake is sweet. my dad has it installed in his and i'm about to put one on as soon as nightfall comes tomorrow! dunno a whole lot about the performance, but it looks great and sounds awesome.

Heard some problems about the PRM. If you were to change because of a hydrolock fear, I'd go with Comptech, Mooogen, or the Spoon Snorkel.

Have had my PRM for over a year and a half. I have not had any problems. Clean the filter as directed twice a year. Seems to work fine. Not sure of any HP gains but sounds great with stock exhaust.
Have read some other threads on compao of CAI's not sure there are any that are worth the $'s other than for the idea that they work better than the stock intake.

I've had PRM for quite a while now and I love the thing. No power issues, no heat issues, and a beautiful sound. (It might help that I have a vented hood...)

mugen's intake is very well designed, but it comes at a price. if you're on a budget, go with the aem cold air V2 intake.
