Default HT owners... Keep Soft Top or Remove?

I should be getting a CF top soon and wanted to see if most HT owners take out the Soft Top or Leave it? I was thinking about taking the entire thing out and sell to recouperate some funds ($1K or so), but not sure I want to get caught w/o a softtop if I ever decided to leave the CF top at home. I don't plan on selling the car, so saving it for that issue isn't a big deal.

I'm not planning on tracking the car, but would like to save some weight since I'm running FI.

Please let me know if you left it in or took it out and why!

Thanks

I thought if you had a hardtop you have to take the factory softop out completely to make it fit. But maybe it's different with an aftermarket one?

Nope, you've been misinformed. The soft top stays with any HT unless you decide to remove it. They can work together , so go get one now

I can't imagine wanting a roof over my head all the time when driving my S2000...I say leave it. If you're really concerned about weight, just don't buy a HT!

It won't be all the time. The HT can be removed and left in the garage, I just won't have a soft top anymore if I leave the HT at home...

If your not going to track it then what's the point in saving lbs by removing it?.....seems like a PITA for some weight reduction.

If you lose a street encounter cause of a few lbs.....then just up the boost...

The soft top comes in handy if your driving around topless and decide to park it somewhere.

unless you're into saving weight that much (ie. at a race track), leave it on.
