Noticed this when I got out of the car yesterday (sorry, these things are not easy to photograph):

Dealership just quoted me $460 w/ install for a new one, not too bad.

woo, before you do that...

Call
Hou-Tex Glass
9600 Westpark, Houston, TX
713-777-0748

They have PPG certified installer and install only PPG windows.

I've had them replace two windows before... in my maxima $177 installed... and in my civic, $130ish installed.

Everytime I read the thread title I see "HUGE Starbucks..."

Maybe it is telling me something.

WHOA!
COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE SHOULD COVER THAT FOR FREE. CHECK WITH YOUR POLICY HOLDER. I'VE HAD 2 REPLACED THIS YEAR IN 2 DIFFERENT VEHICLES AND BOTH WERE FREE. AND IF YOUR INSURANCE DOESNT INCLUDE COMP RIGHT NOW, ADD IT TODAY, IT WILL BE A COUPLE EXTRA BUCKS A MONTH, THEN CALL IN THE BROKEN WINDSHIELD NEXT WEEK. NO NEED TO SHELL OUT THE $$ FOR A WINDSHIELD.

Sorry, just realized I was yelling...

When you say free, does that mean you don't have to pay the deductible either?

you always have a deductible..unless you pay quite a big amount for 0 deductible. i have 100 deductible on comprehensive and collision. but a lot of windshiel repair places will waive the deductible.
