Default Hydra-Lock is Bad.

I hit some high water, and the intake (stock) sucked up a lot. Here is what happens......


Thank god for INS. they are picking up the bill (6k) for a new short block.

dang.. i had to get a new engine put into my car also.. 4600$$ i had an Injen intake and it sucked up a lot of water.. it shot a piston through the bottom (supposedly by the mechanic) and bent two rods.. im glad that insurance is picking it up also

This happened with stock airbox or aftermarket CAI?

It happend with a Stock airbox. The water hit the bumper, and then came over the hood. If I have a Injen or AEM it would have happend sooner.
