Default Hypothetical: Improper Towing of S2000

Hey guys,

After reading in the manual and stuff about towing the car, I know it's a big NO NO to tow the car w/ anything but a flatbed.

Why? Is it the ride height?

What would be potentially wrong with the car if it was towed from the front and from the back?

Thanks guys.

Chad

As I understand it, you don't want the drive wheels free spinning as you go down the road. Not good for the driveline, but don't really know the specifics of why. Obvious problems if you leave it in gear.

Also, if you pick it up by the rear, the nose will be ground down to nothing by the time you get to where you are headed....not good.

So knowing this, I always try to park by backing in to a spot and leaving it in gear - can't pick it up and drag it, and can't access the rear.
