Hypothetical Question
whats stopping me is actually money, but not directly.
since the s2000 is my only car im worried that if i crash it at the track ill be paying for the repairs or a new car out of pocket as im pretty sure most insurance companies don't insure tracking the car. i guess that's something i should double check though (does any one here have usaa insurance and know if they cover track time?). there is also the psychological fulfilment from buying something that ill be able to enjoy everyday (coilovers/exhaust/wheels) as opposed to a track event that would be over the next day. sure, id probably be a better driver and benefit from it the rest of my life, but materialism is bringing out irrationality!

Yeah, OK, I understand the insurance concern.
But you might want to check your policy about mods -- some of them don't like those either.
However, you are very wrong about the track day being over the next day. I get way more enjoyment in my everyday driving out of the skills I have learned from the track than from any mod I have ever made to the car.
