I was driving home from seeing Ep2 Attack of the Clowns and the thought occurred to me. I haven't used 5th gear in well over 2 months.

I tend to achieve my desired HW cruising speed in 4th and just go to 6 after that. If I'm going to pass, I drop it to 4th or accelerate with 6th depending on the oomph required.

Well, I decided to use it on some twisties tonight and sure enough, it's still there.

 

That's funny, I use 5th all the time in the city; 60mph (surface roads) is too loud in 4th and too sluggish in 6th. I never use it on the highway though.
