Jenner maybe he was driving in reverse (happens all the time on my block)? I actually interpreted it as the S2000 was t-boned by the escort's front, which was rear ended by the Thunderbird, which was then hit in the rear by the Jeep.

Here is what I think happened. His brother lost control and slid into the back of the Escort. The Escort hit the Jeep then the Jeep hit the Thunderbird. The question is what was his brother doing before he lost control?

gdonahue, your explanation makes more sense, but looking at the pictures the jeep and thunderbird don't even appear anywhere near the escort. Plus the airbags deployed in the escort. Don't you have to be moving at a certain speed in order for that to happen? So the Escort had to have been moving.
