Well, I actually did it. This is not the car I thought I would end up buying. I've always been kind of a Mustang/Vette guy and even my first test drive in the S2K didn't impress me that much. But tonight I bought a yellow 2002. I thought I wasn't impressed with my testdrive. Then I couldn't think about anything but the S2K. Every other car I drove after that seemed fundamentally flawed in some way. The only car that I enjoyed driving at all was my dads' Mustang GT. And that was for different reasons all together (I love V8s). So I went back to the Honda dealer to look at the S2K again. Then again. Was I getting obsessed? Nahhhhhhh.... Well, maybe a little.

I don't think I ended up with that great a deal but what can you do. I got a few cheap accessories thrown in and the 7 year/100,000 mile extended warranty "at cost" (if there is such a thing on a warranty). I take delivery on Wednesday (3/13), can't wait!!!

 

Good going Dave on your SMART choice. I know there's a big difference between American V-8 cars; however, I think you will truely appreciate what this car is all about. It is much closer to an actual race car than many others out there. I don't know if you test drove it with the top cown, but when you finally do, ain't nothin like it.
