Shifter Stick Boogie
I took delivery of my new '01 Black/Red yesterday. While I never reved over 4500 rpm in any gear, I noticed quite a bit of shake and boogie coming from my shifter, particularly at lower rpm's, say 3000. The shaking shifter ( this is not funny ) with its Titanium Knob vibrate as if afflicted with Parkinsons Disease. I realize that a " certain " amount of wobble could be normal, but I hadn't planned on trading up for a Mack Truck ! What say other shifter's........am I headed back to my Dealer ? Thanks
Don't let that bother you too much.
It is normal and nothing wrong.
Although, you should let dealer look into it to ease your mind, but you will find that other S2000s will behave the same way.
It is because the shifter is linked directly to the transmission.
But, you do sound like you are describing super charged S2000.
On super charged car, shifter shakes and vibrates like a mack truck.
If there is nothing wrong, I hope you get use to it.
