I drove a 04 Nissan 350Z roadster today.. and our S seems quicker
I have a 2002 Sebring/Black S2000 and I had no intention of
trading in my car.. but I test drove a new 350Z roadster today
It was a 6 speed, Enthusiast model.. The salesman was a cool
guy (young) that didn't care if I wanted to push the Z..
So I drove the car for about 35 miles today.. and I hit the redline. Now I know this isn't good for the car since it has not been broken-in, but I was living in the moment..
I think what caught my eye on the Z was the black on black color.. probably hard to keep clean but damn it looked good.
The car accelerates good, but definitely feels heavier on the road. The Z looks good with the top down, but with the top
up, kind of weird.. (just my opinion). The shifter feels less
precise than our S's 6 speed. The exhaust note was sweet.
I punched the Z roadster through the gears off and on for
30 minutes and after driving a MY02 S2K, I can tell you our
car feels lighter, quicker, and the steering is more responsive.
Although I prefer my S, it was a great way to start off my
Labor Day holiday..
Has anyone else out there had the same experience as me?

Before I bought my S2000, I looked at the 350Z. After just sitting in it I knew it wasn't for me. It wasn't as comfortable as the S. Another thing is you see them all over the place. You rarely see another S on the road.

Seriously though I like the S alot more then the 350z, seems faster, better built and more fun to drive. Of course this may be because a friend' who is amazingly lame has a 350z and constantly tells me how it's the best car ever and how it pwns the Ferrari Enzo.

I've gotta' do that.
That's pretty , CFL. Nice to have that much time in the car.
FYI, I have no idea if it's bad to take Nissan's engine to redline during breakin... THe F20C is a little unusual, I think, in that regard.
