You dont list your location! The re050s are outstanding wet/dry above 55deg. maybe iffy at that temp! but good above that! you really cant do much better, the complainies need to know how to drive, and a lesson in physics!

i thought the stock tires had awful wet traction? i had no problems at all, driving as i normally do. there was some standing water and it handled it fine too. i'm not sure i believe the people who drive their AP2s around wet, banked ramps at *only* 25 mph, yet somehow lose control of the entire car...

Those people have no clue how to drive. I have driven in downpours with the S02s which people claim are AWFUL and I was going through corners faster than I figured I should be able to based on stories here. I never so much as lost the rear end once.
problems with s02s are they have to reach the correct temperature so inorder for the tires compound to work 100%. rain will cool the tires down, so all the grid compound is not at 100%. s02 tends to go from great to bad. there is not much in between.

the re50s are better for all around driving, but the s02s are better in the dry

Yeah i have fresh tires and traction control was driving through canyons to the beach in socal while it was raining had no problems, while on the other hand my brother had a ap1 on old tires and we spun out on the freeway not even goin fast did a 360 on the freeway out of no where.

Just be careful on old tires and traction control is amazing but i keep it off 90% of the time i would rather .

Try it in first gear at WOT. The car needs a little help to get you into trouble. I think the thing that gets most people is the cars tendency to oversteer, and later cars like your's have the oversteering tendencies toned down quite a bit. Plus, with VSA, you're going to have to do something really stupid to get into trouble.

Have you actually ever seen anyone with VSA say that they had trouble in the rain?

Wet Road + Mid Turn + VTEC = Lose Control

Dont drive like how you normally drive in the wet, then you'll be fine. I am running on RE-01R, awesome grip in the wet.

That'll do it.

On a wet road with fresh S02's and in first or second gear, my car will start spinning the back tires as soon as I hit VTEC, even if I'm not turning. In first the tires actually start to spin a little bit before VTEC engages, but then with the CTSC/AC I'm making about the same amount of torque a 4,500 RPM as a stock engine is making at the onset of VTEC.

Even if the OP floors his MY07 car and hits 6k mid turn, it won't matter one bit becuase VSA will keep the car from engaging VTEC and kicking the tail out. VSA doesn't change the cars basic handling bias, but it does cover up a number of driver errors that have gotten more than a few owners into trouble.
