Default I FINALLY got an s2000!

well i FINALLY got an s2000 after some searching and some luck on trading in my acura cl-s...so this is my first official post as an s2000 owner..

the car is a 2000 with 26k miles
red ext/black int
all stock

now a few things i have noticed....when i start the car...i give it gas and let off the clutch..in the gas pedal i feel a vibration like buzz....is this normal????

2....what do i use to clean that rear plastic window...its dirty as hell!

3. ... wind noise is commin in through my top..i noiced that when i pull hard on the top while driving it reduces the noise level...how can i tighten the top or do i need to take it to the dealer?

4...what modifications yeild the best HP gains... i just ordered an AEM cold air intake, what else should i buy...invidia exaust?? stainless header, test pipe, etc etc?

5. the front bumper has some curb rash on the bottom, im looking into a CF invida lip for 220.....or possibly seibon for a little more...any differences in quality?

6. the stock stereo sucks, i need a new one, what size of speakers are in the doors?

thanks to all that reply, im proud to be an s2000 owner finally!

first of all,, CONGRATS `

i think ur soft top was exposed to sun for long time (5 years) that what makes it like this

best thing to start modding is a CAI after a while buy the T1R 63mm with test pipe,, best gains, price, sound

and right,, the stock audio system sucks,, first thing to do is get an after market head unit, then u'll notice the difference
speakers size are 6.5"

good luck

drive safe
have fun (^_^) ``

You should concentrate more on your driving than blasting your favorite jam's.

Congrats on the S.

1. Perfectly normal. Those are the angry mosquitos bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. This tranny is hella noisy.
2. Plastic? Might wanna look into glass and look over the engine TSBs.
3. Noise? Yes, lots of noise.
4. New Car will yield the best HP gains. The S loves NOS and/or boost. CAI is great for adding personality
5. Oh boy.
6. Search feature

Congrats man!!! I know you are going to enjoy the car! Intake and exhaust is where I would start as well. If you really want hp gains you are probably going to have to investigate force feeding air. (Superchargers and, or Turbos.) Personally I would get the intake and exhaust and concentrate on suspension, brakes, posible top repairs or replacement before going down the forced induction road. But no matter what this car will always put a smile on your face....

congrats on the car! if the window is scratched look up Novus as a 1-2-3 plastic polishing solution. head over to the wash & wax forum for more detailing answers!
