Picked out a white-red in the Seattle area for MSRP. Timing is key to getting this price here.

My left feet aches cuz I'm new to stick. I'm managing all right. Hope to get the rev-matching/heel-toeing thing down, but not anytime soon.

I've got a lot of first-time S2000 driver questions.

1) Putting the gear into first and shifting to second isn't nearly as smooth as the other gears. Is this due to the fact that I only have 100 miles on it so far?

2) The driver's side half of the HID spotlight is a bit lower than the passenger side half. I can tell because the distinct line of light the HID sets has a crook in the middle. Is this normal?

3) What kind of oil should I be filling it up with during the break-in if the engine is eating some up?

4) Anything else I should keep in mind during break-in? Pieces of advice for happy motoring?

It's an amazing car. We are all spoiled.

Thanks so much for dealing with my crap for so long!

-Ben

Congratulations man!

White and red..... If they sold that combo here I
would have been very tempted. I love the Honda
White.

My gears were a little notchy when I fist had
the car, but now (900 miles) they have loosened up nicely.

Also, my car has used no oil so far (although I believe
a lot of cars do use some.)

Enjoy the weekend!

Now that you have passed break-in you will notice the oil use, if you know what I mean

It's so you don't blind oncoming traffic. My drivers side is lower than my passenger side, and I'm right hand drive.

Welcome to group! Of course I admire your taste in color, it is the rarest of them all, I have a white/red and love it. You will definately steel the show if you take it to some meets in your area.

We have D.A.R.E Meets every Friday during the summer. With a variety of cars from Model T's to S2000's . They parked me next to a 2000 Corvette and guess who got all the attention - me .

Enjoy the car.

Congratulations SpaceNeedle,

It'll be great to see more of us on the road. I was going to tell you I saw four S2Ks at Kirkland Honda yesterday. But it looks like you already got your babay.

For what it's worth, take I-90 east of Seattle, take the Mercer Island Way exit. Go right and follow it all the way around the island. Its residential, so its best after evening is starting to fade. Driving the speed limit if fun on the road so you don't really have to speed, and if you do, there are sometimes cops. Anyway about half way around the island it gets really fun.

Before you know it you'll be on the east side of the island ready to hop back onto I-90, either turn around an go back around the island the other way, or hop on to I-90 and motor on home.

Hopefully you won't find you have the same problem that I did. Waking up at 4-5:00 in the morning and looking out the window at your car. Getting a quick shower and then finding a reason to make a 10 mile drive take two hours.

Again, congratulations.
