I was going home today when
My house is right by a junior high school. So today I had to go through long line of cars waiting to pick up their kids. Anyway when I was stoped this kid points at my car and said "Mom, I want THAT car when I grow up." I smiled and so did little kids mom. I don't know why but this made me feel really good. I think it's because it came from a kid. They say Kids are very honest
I overheard a conversation between a woman and her teenage son as they walked past my car in a parking lot. It made me chuckle because it seemed like some sort of role reversal conversation. As they walked past my car, the woman said, "Now that's the car that I want." And the teenage boy looked at his mother for a second, obviously trying to tell whether or not she was kidding, and said, "Right, Mom." in his best sarcastic tone.
My favorite is when the peeps in the expensive cars (as expensive as ours or more) give me that look like..."Damn I could have had one of those!". I may be a little twisted, but I'm happy this car was in such short supply for a while, and hope it actually gets shorter (don't flame me). Just because I'm not rich really, I make $40K a year and live in an apartment (don't flame me) and do all I can to afford this car (a wise man once told me..."if you don't have to sacrifice for it, you probably won't respect it like you should"), so in my eyes it's some warped sweet justice that the peeps that make more money than me and have always gotten everything can't just go out and buy one easily. I'ts a personal problem...hehe.
