Default I got the modifry top fix straps...

I bought my S2k, and the top didn't fold right. I discovered I could kick down the bar that the elastic pulls, and it would fold properly.

... but i'm lazy, so I bought the Modifry straps. Installed them just as the instructions said to, and lowered the top. It fell into place beautifully! I raised it back up, and went inside. Since then, every time i lower the top, the bar fails to get pulled by the new straps, and i still have to manually move it, or else the top doesn't seat right, and actually seats HIGHER than it did with the worn out stockers?

Anyone else have this issue? Found a fix?

You need to wrap it around the pipe one more revolution so the band is super tight.

One more? It's already tight, and makes the top bulge a little bit... I'll try it, but I don't think there's slack. Thanks for the headsup.

Can someone please provide me the link to this product from Modifry? I
was able to get a new top from AHM for free (paid labor) after I was
able to demonstrate to them that my top had a tear due to this bar not
going down correctly anf top material getting pinched. Unfortunately, the
elastic straps in the new top is also not very tight and the same thing is
happening (bar not going down) and I fear a tear in the future. I can provide
more information to the dealer on how to fix this if I have some pics and
more info on this product, as they obviously are clueless when it comes to
repairing tops!

Thanks.

Protect top from overspray and squirt some dry lubricant into the folding joints to reduce the friction. It might help and only costs $2 and a few minutes.

FYI: I tried the "add an extra turn" idea last night finally. First fold this morning? You got it, bunched up wrong, the bar still didn't move. I'll try some sort of lubricant next.

Yeah i got the straps too.... and the first I folded it it worked perfectly. But then it wouldn't go down all the way. I'm guessing maybe its because the straps need to be broken in???
