Default i got my car today!!!!

i finally bought my car today at john eagle honda, 2002 silver. i love it, best car i ever owned.
it does has a few short comings though.
1. huge blind spots behind driver.
2. even with increased power, the stereo is still anemic to say the least.
3. minimal storage space as you all know
4. harsh ride on rough road surface
5. hard to use toneau cover
6. hood is hard to close
7. high rpm cruising at 60 mph. my acura TL ran at 2300 rpm when cruising at 80 mph

despite of all these, i still love this car more than anything else i had layed on hands on. great car. i am so proud to be part the the family.

hey, congratulations on your purchase. you are one of us now. here are my answers (in my opinion)
1. go topless
5. once they get used to it, they fit easily
6. just drop the hood at between ur knee and waist.
7. I agree

yea i had to learn how to look out the driver's side windows now to change lanes to the left, but hey your glass rear window is much clearer than most of our dirty plastic windows so you see better. The stereo thing i dont mind because i like to hear the sound of the engine and exhaust, although i'd love to have a better sound system. the toneau cover im used to putting it on and taking it off but it still takes me awhile to do it....just dont look as stupid doin it compare to when i just got the car. The hood is not hard to close when it gets used to dropping at a height that you think "punishing" but hey....in this car you gotta drop everything from a "punishing" altitude..

Welcome and congratulations, you have found the best site for info and support, plus you have chosen one of the best sports cars in the world!

1- I have not driven a car/truck/SUV/motorcycle in the last 10 years that did not get a small convex wide-angle mirror stuck to the outside rearview mirror, you might want to try it, it really eliminates the blind spot if you mount it correctly
2- Turn off the radio and turn up the engine, with the stereo on how could you hear the pleasant sound of the tires starting to talk?
3- The golf bags fit in, an overnight set of lingerie for the best friend fits in, what's the problem?
4- Eradicate harsh ride from your mind and replace it with responsive suspension, this ain't no Acura, isolated from the road TL, this is a sports car
5- It is a roof boot not a toneau cover, a toneau cover would cover the cockpit like the toneau cover of an MGA, the roof boot is really easy to use when you leave it in the trunk
6- Just let go of the hood from chest level and drop it, if it does not latch try again from a slightly higher level, what ever you do, don't push it shut with the palm of your hand.

Enjoy your great car and welcome to this great site!

You don't ever have to worry about blind spots again if you try to set up your inside and outside mirrors as shown with this link from the Canadian Direct Insurance:

I totally agree with this advice. So often I see a car right front of me that I can see the driver's face in the sideview mirror!
