i got my car today!!!!
When I first got my car, I was sick and the first week of ownership I started regretting getting the car. The reason was the stiff suspension, it was simply too rough, I thought, too jarring. My problem turned out to be the illness and the roads I were driving on (misaligned expansion seams on a concrete road, going <30mph). Once I'd driven on better roads and at much higher speeds, as well as when I actually started taking corners faster and using the car's power, all my dislikes went away. In fact driving "normal" cars now seems too mushy and cushy. No way I'd trade that go-cart cornering feel now
I hope you have a similar experience and soon find yourself seeing other cars as lacking

thanks to everyone for been helpful and supportive. other than the huge blind spot with the top up, i really dont care much about all the other minor things. As you have alluded to, the high performance more than makes up whatever deficiencies this car has.
i traded in my Acura, but luckily my wife still has an acura TL.

s22k,
I agree with hoof's and others' comments. You will adapt, one way or another, and learn to enjoy this awesome car more and more as the miles go by. The car just becomes an extension of yourself as you learn to make the most of its power and performance. It's hard to explain but at first I was nervous pushing the car. Now that I have about 8000 miles on it, I just feel that driving it has become second nature to me and I am slowly and steadily learning how to push the car harder and harder but at the same time am feeling very comfortable with the increased speed in the twisties. The rear end has even broken loose several times and I have learned to react quickly to regain control. The boot is in the basement. The radio is OK when I am tired, the top is up (on the cooler evenings) as I return from a day long cruise. Other wise it gets in the way of the feedback you need from the engine and tires. The handling and ride are much preferred to the Camry which now feels like a boat. I appreciate the link to the insurance site for proper use of the mirrors. Like someone said in a Car and Driver review of the S2000. If you want storage space, get an Oddesey! The high RPM are what you need to power out of corners and the sound that eminates from the engine is much prettier music that you will get from any stereo! My car is put away for the winter and I hate it!!!!! Welcome to the "club". If you are new to this type of car as I was, I recommend not pushing the car too hard at first. Just let the car come to you. Hope you learn to love your car as much as I have!
