I'm on the same boat...

There are plenty of silver and suzuka blue ones available right now. But I want white or black. There is a white one somewhere out of state. I was thinking of shipping it here, but I don't know how the process is with smog, licensing, registration etc once I get it here. I'm sort of hesistant.

There is a black one coming next week at a dealer that won't let me put a deposit on it. They want to jack the pricing up on the black one. I'm trying to see if I can convince them that losing me is bad news, but I'm so tempted pick up the silver one from them. It's their policy not to allow test drives so all the S2000s there have almost no miles.

What do you guys think. I love silver, white, and black. Silver: a bit too common for my tastes but I'm sure I can get used to it. White, very rare, this is my first choice. If someone that's bought an out-of-state vehicle and shipped it to California can walk me through the process I'll do it. Black, I love this color as well, but my parents are telilng me it's bad luck.

I'm getting her today!!! Just to have the car for the weekend, I'm having it financed through the dealer, then on Monday I'll bring the bank check for the whole amount to the dealer and they'll throw out the loan paperwork... kind-of round-about isn't it?

Just had to share, I'm so excited!

SECRET API,

Buy a white one out of state. I have a red. The car is a 50-state car and you just have to pay sales tax for your county and get a smog check in CA. I think I saw a white one with 12 miles in Vegas on ebay a while back. No problems and you could probably save some dough. I bought in MA and shipped to CA with no problems. Good luck.

Where are you shipping from? I shipped DASautoshippers, but many people use Horseless Carriage. I got a deal $895 from MA to CA enclosed carrier to their terminal station in CA. I think regular price enclosed is $1400-$1500. I don't think you are shipping farther than me, so maybe $1000 tops.
