Smile I hate deer

Flyin through the german country side this morning on my way to pt and this little jerk off deer decided to step out into the road in front of me, luckily once he decided that this was a bad idea he tried to backtrack causing him to slip and fall and go under my car instead of over my hood/windsheild/softop/trunk. At first glance the bumper is wrecked, the radiator is destroyed, and the radiator support is bent, and a few underbody panels were ripped off, as well as numerous chunks of meat and hair clinging to various pieces of my undercarriage. USAA is great though and had the car towed immediately to the shop that will be working on it, got me a rental, and hopefully the car is repairable. The things that worry me are the bent radiator support and the front of the hood is not lining up with the lines of the bumper, hopefully there is no serous structural damage. I want my s back on the road soon so i can install my sc. If not, maybe they'll total it out and i'll get my 08 exchanged for an 09.

Ouch...but at the same time, I'm sure the deer was calling you a jerk!!

Hopefully your S is repairable and you will be back in her by next week!

Wow...must've been a small deer, I just can't see a deer goin under our cars. But good thing you are alright thats the main thing. Living here in MO, and growing up in KS, I know first hand what deer can do to vehicles.

I doubt it was saying anything based on the number of pieces I turned it into. Thanks for the sentiments though, I'm pretty bummed about it. The funny thing is that the shop was already expecting me because of about a 1 inch tear in the roof that happened a month or so ago.

it was a mid sized female deer, deff. no nailguy or axis deer, but large enough that the mp's were scratching their heads about how it got straight under my car, and the answer is it didn't, not in one piece anyways. gruesome.

Really sorry to hear it, but glad you're ok.
I've had a number of close calls with deer. They're all over the place here. Just a couple nights ago there were 3 standing in the middle of the road over a crest of a hill. Thank god the S brakes so well....

The saving grace is that it's really fun to let the S give a 9k snarl at them while they stand there and watch them scatter in a panic.

Cant see the video right now cause i'm in the office, and for some reason the army doesn't think i deserve to watch me some youtube every once in a while, but i'll check it when i get home in my rental automatic accord. Yeah, i slowed down alot but it was in a sweeping turn and the tree line is like a foot away from the road and she jumped right out at me, not a chance to stop, the brakes were straining to get it halted though, and doing a decent job at that.

Glad you're ok. Cars can be fixed.

Don't blame the deer, after all it's humans that build roads through their living areas. A deer doesn't know what a road is, nor does it know what a car is... it's not the deers fault...

Wow sorry to hear about that, I would be pissed. Plus I love laguna s2ks! I live in Kansas and the Oklahoma border is like 2 minutes away from my house. My girlfriend lives in Oklahoma like 15 minutes away from me. I drive on this little narrow highway to get her and see deer all the time. Really glad none have ran in front of me. I have hit a few rabbits and skunks though. Skunk is not fun to wash off the bottom of your car. Those didnt do any damage except for crack the paint on my front lip, but that is an easy fix. That was before I was lowered though too.
