Do you guys/gals unscrew the antenna and take it with you when you park, or put it in the trunk, etc.?
Or do you just leave it and hope nobody takes it?

But if you unscrew it everytime you are parked i would think that over time the screw hole will become to big for the screw to properly fit.

I am just asking because i read on another post that somebody just unscrews it almost evertime they park.

 

I leave on and have never taken it off. Hey, I used to live in MA. Leave it on unless you park in the city, then think about removing it.

 

Couldn't just Lock-tite it or something so it's not removeable?

 

I leave mine on, never taken it off. If it ever gets stolen, I would consider a light application of the lightest grade of locktight.

At the end of the day, you can get one from hartopguy or handa.com for pretty cheap. It's just a PITA.

 

Lock tight will keep the threaded part in the body but the outer rubber part will be pulled off any way if someone was trying to take it. That would just leave the coil showing.

No Locktite.

Mine was stolen twice off of my previous 02' Si (its just like the S2Ks) so I'm kinda nervous. I still just leave it on though - I always forget

 

after having 1 stolen, i remove mine occassionally. locktite is a bad idea as someone who did that had minor damage done in addition to losing his antenna.

 

I remove mine now too had it stolen once..

 

It doesn't work very well anyway for reception so I leave it on to curse the thief that feels the need to take it and actually put it on their car. Happy static.
