1) does my car have an stainless steel clutch line?

2) If its doesnt can one made for an AP1 work on an AP2?

3) will Universal racing seat belts work on Stock seats?

I have a couple of answers.

I don't believe the ap2 has a stainless steel clutch line but I really don't see the benefit of replacing the factory line on an s2k. You don't have clutch travel issues like a dsm running a heavy clutch. And the change in clutch feel with a stainless line is pretty minimal and is probably undetectable by most drivers.

You can use a racing seat belt with the stock seat...but you will have to mount the belts somehow. Others here have probably done it and will have suggestions.

A test pipe is just a length of exhaust pipe that replaces the catalytic converter to improve the flow of your exhaust system. Test pipes come cut to length and flanged so you just unbolt your cat and bolt the test pipe in its place. The issues with a test pipe are 1) passing emissions tests if they are required in your area and 2) adding a device of some kind to avoid a check engine light. Some test pipes are actually small resonators. This modifies the exhaust note to make up for the removal of the cat which has some muffeling qualities. I hear these tend to drone at highway speeds, though, (I have no experience with an S2K resonating test pipe myself.)

I can answer No. 4.

A test pipe is a replacement for the cat. converter. The test pipe is essentially a straight pipe, some times with a resonance chamber of larger diameter built in. You remove your cat. converter and install the test pipe in its place.

Before installing a test pipe, check the emissions laws in your area. With a test pipe, the cat converter is gone, and your car probably won't pass emissions inspection. Also, some states have additional laws that will get you a ticket if a cop pulls you over and discovers you have no cat. So you really need to check the laws in states where you might be driving, as well as the one where you live. Here in Oklahoma, the only law we have on this subject prohibits the selling of a car without a cat. So the only thing one would need to do here is to reinstall the cat before selling the car.

The benefits of a test pipe are slightly increased performance and a more robust exhaust note. The "down sides" are that your exhaust will likely stink, and there are the legal questions mentioned above.

If you install as test pipe, you must also install some fittings to get the oxygen sensor on it, and to work with it, so you don't get a check engine light.

1 & 2 I can't help you on

3. You can, but it's not a good idea at all. First off our seat were not designed for a 4/5 point harness, so the shoulder section may slide around or slip down. Second off you would need some sort of harness bar behind the seats to secure the belts too.

4. A test pipe is a straight pipe that replaces the cat. converter. It gives you some more horsepower by freeing up the bottle neck at the cat and gives you exhaust a little bit better tone IMO. The problem is it is not ment for the streets and if a cop feels like it they can give you a ticket for removing a emissions device (which comes with a hefty fine), also it makes you exhaust smell more, and leaves some black residue (carbon from your exhaust) on your rear bumper.

1) no

2) not sure but I would think so (double check with ap2 owners)

3) do you mean a certain brand or a 4 point harness? 4 point harness *can* work with stock seats but it is most likely illegal, and more importantly very dangerous. For 4point harness you should have aftermarket seats made for a 4 point harness (holes in seat to run them through) and a high quality mounting bar.

4) Test pipe is a piece of steel piping that replaced the catalytic converter. It will give you some more horsepower and sound a little deeper louder, but will make your exhaust stink (it removes certain pollutants from the exhaust) and you will not be able to legally pass inspection (you will have to pay someone to be nice and pass you)

You should NEVER run a harness in a car without a rollbar. A harness keeps you bolt upright in your seat, a rollbar (hopefully) keeps the roof/pavement from crushing you. If you are stuck bolt upright and the car flips with no rollbar...say goodnight.

As others have said, it's a horrible idea to put 4/5 point harnesses with stock seats. They will be more dangerous than your stock seatbelt. There isn't a way to mount them without having a roll bar with a harness bar on the car. Even with that, on stock seats the harnesses can slide off your shoulders. If you want to do harnesses, do it right. A 4 point roll bar with a harness bar WELDED in, and proper racing seats.

Id say unless you're going FI don't bother with a test pipe, a lot of people here have them, but its a hassel

because as people have said..

emissions...

also it smells like sulfery a$$
also it's even worse for pollution

and you can depending on the area really get f'd very very very hard if a LEO finds out, again the penalty in SOME areas is SEVERE

if you want to mod, id suggest starting with an exhaust, perhaps a CAI (again minimal gains, more for sound) maybe window tint, or suspension mods

driving school is always a good choice as well
