I echo earlier sentiments. The S is irreplaceable. You need to take it to a track and hit Vtec a few times. If you don't appreciate the S after that, you don't deserve to own one.

I can really relate to the OP's problem. I get the burn to buy another car about every 6 months. Sometimes it's a replacement and other times it's an addition. I'm working on resisting the urge this fall as all 3 of my vehicles are fine and I'm getting married. A much as my fiancee needs a new car, she's determined to keep driving her old Malibu until it dies.

I haven't tried a new Accord, however my wife just got a 2013 Civic Si Navi. We also have a '06 Odyssey so I hear ya on the Honda thing. I just spent 3 weeks driving the Civic Si every day to work (40 miles round trip) because I was replacing seized suspension bushings and waiting for new nuts & bolts etc. Today was the first day I've driven the S2000 in at least a month and I have to say that even though my shocks and springs are original (127,500 miles) it still rides better than the new Civic Si. I did like how easy the Si is to drive and the tech in it is fun. I feel like you sit in the Si, but you wear the S2000. I'd pick my 12 year old S2000 over her new Si for daily driving every time.

dont sell the S, I had the same issues 2 weeks ago, ended up paying off the S and picking up an FRS, couldn't be happier.....wait till you can keep the S and get another car, you'll regret selling it again

I too have the S as my second car.

My current DD is an old M3, which I will drive till it dies. Whether it's the S or the M3, they both make me appreciate how special they are.

Thanks for the replies guys. It only took me a couple of days to get over the feeling I took it to the dragon again this weekend and had a blast. Just gotta move past the urge when it hits.

You can always rent a new car when you get the urge. That might satisfy your need to change things up a bit, but as others have said, keep the S, if you can. It is a one of a kind car for the price.

An accord would be a great second car. Definitely a terrible replacement imo though.
