I talked to the estimator at the body shop. I told him not to open it up and give an estimate until I talk to insurance first. He said he had not touched it but he did go look at it. He said that just from looking at it, tha tthe frame appears to be fine and that they can fix it with no problems and have it as good as new.

The insurance people said it could be up to 2 business days before the adjuster talks to me, so I will call her on Monday if she does not contact me.

Is he doing that because he, like you, thinks it should be totalled? If he gets and estimate written up, that may persuade the insurance company to fix it, instead of just totalling it out. I'm just curious, because that's what it sounds like.

Well, Squeezer, to put a lighter spin on things, at least we all know now that the airbags DO work

Apart from that, I feel sorry for ya man, and I feel sorry for the car. No car as beautiful as the S deserves such abuse from an evil american car.
