Whenever you get into someone's car, you're trusting that person with your life. It baffles me how carelessly people handle that decision.

Ricers, 7th gen civic owners are the worst. I had a turbo 6th gen EX that was much faster than a stock S2000 and I never tried to run from the cops or got arrested

That story's a bit more dramatic and at higher speeds/length than mine a whiile ago(and minus the 'getting caught' part)..and oddly enuff I was coming back from paying a 475$ ticket..(only thing I thought once I saw the lights from far behind, was "screwww that, not another bill").it was a stubborn move, but was done and hopefully never again.(jst being honest here.)

This situation could be avoided.

I had a friend do this in his stock SMG 2004 M3. He and another friend of mine were both drunk and coming home from a club that we were all at that night. A cop tried to pull them over. They ran. Did speeds of more than 175 mph for a couple of minutes that night, actually got off the highway and got cought on a street where the cops had blocked the road. The difference there is that my other friend(passenger) had consented with this. They both got arrested, spent night in jail, $10,000 bail for driver, car impounded, he's paid over $10,000 to get his license back and finally got it 2 weeks ago. This took him over 6 months. He knows he ****ed up, what can I say.

That's plain retarded. Even if you're driving alone you're putting everyone else's life on the road in jeopardy when you make a stupid decision like that, including the cop's whose job it is to chase you. Can't imagine what must be going through the cop's mind as speeds increase...

no ur right..I wasnt taking account for innocent bystanders or the actual cops well being,But since its obvious the driver doesnt give a fk about anything or possible suicide mission thats going on,its not even in the back of his mind about a possible homicide to passenger, yaknow?.(if u dont care about ur well-being,u sure as hell aint worried about the other persons).
and to not even do that much, then pfff..dude deserves the worst then..(and getting screwed in the legal sense, possibly for him and passnger is irrelevent for someone on a possible suicide/homicide mission).and I cant even imagine a traffic type chase (thats some bad 'Cops' shtt).
longStory short=he's a Douche thats gonna realize the privelage of that license he's losing for plenty of years

Should the guy happen to post bail, he wouldn't have to go back to the pokey right?
