I love my S2000!
I really, really really love mine.
It's been my little dream-car for the past five years or so.
Had it never been built, I'd probably own a Miata at the moment - but the S2000 is just infinitely nicer. It's sexy like nothing else, it performs like a dream. I just want to run outside and give it a hug sometimes.

if i hadn't bought this car, i would have bought a new (maybe off-lease) elise.
I figured an s2000, with plans to eventually go FI, would have a few more concessions to creature comfort, while retaining a lot of the visceral edge of the lotus (and only giving up a modicum of handling, at 9 or 10/10ths)
Half of the fun, imho, of having a "toy" car like this is in the modding, and the s2000 can be totally tweaked, sc'd, modded, ice-d, etc... and still be far below the cost of a stock elise.
sure, it doesn't have the "exotic" panache, but with the ricks s badges, i definitely get a few "wowwhatkindofcaristhat" looks from people..
personally, i love the car, and i think it's a lot more fun drive than any other toy / second car i've had, including a modded TT225R, and a second gen MR2.

Don't you guys wish that they stopped making them. I know that that's hating on everyone else, but then our cars would be special.
The car doesn't have to be rare to be special. I think its time for you to go for a drive.
btw...if not an S2K I'd probably have a Mazdaspeed MX5 or a pre-07 Minicooper S.
[QUOTE=tof,Jun 28 2007, 05:49 PM]OK, my other car is a Mitsubishi Galant VR4. Number 5 of 1000 imported in 92 and 3000 over two years. It STILL isn't worth any more than a 1g DSM in comparable condition.
