I know of this one picture that shows a kind of "see through" schematic of the S2000 and it shows the gas tank but no reservior. If you can find that picture show it to him and that should prove your point.

yea i feel sorry for you guys with the pre 04's...the gas guage is much improved. i have never ran out of gas but i did run out of bars on the car and then had to drive about 5 miles...i got gas and only put in about 11.5 gallons.
i would say that if you put in 13 gallons of gas you were running on fumes...the tank is only 13.2 i think. .2 gallons left...that's about a big gulp full of gas in your car

This happens on the pre-04s too - at least on my 03 it does; it can be at 3 bars and drop to 1 bar on my 5 mile ride home.
