While in neutral and then suddenly releasing the throttle from any RPM rate, is it normal for the engine to very briefly dip bellow idle before returning to the normal idle speed? Likewise, when the engine is idle (and the car is in neutral) and the accelerator is suddenly stepped on, is it normal for the engine to, very briefly and slightly, hesitate before responding to the input? Happens to me all the time. Usually in hot conditions or if the ECU is trying to adjust to environmental conditions etc.... If it keeps up and it's pretty bad or whatever, try resetting your ECU and driving for a few miles. Try driving the car at night in cold dry air while the engine is still warming up and see if it's still doing it.

As for the hesitation, perfectly normal when engine is cold. The drop below idle on quick release, as stated by the rest, is also normal. Relax. Enjoy the ride! You have one of the finest automobiles made.
