lose 500 pounds.

take all of the carpet, radio, dash and any plastic parts, empty trunk, smaller battery, shave the paint off of the car, lighter rims and tires (narrower), take off the exhaust entirely and replace it with a light aluminum straight pipe (or straight manifold), take all of the plastic crap off of the engine bay, get a lighter steering wheel with no airbag, take out the ac, buy a smaller radiator, fiberglass body panels, take your passenger seat out, take all of the door panels from the inside out, rip out all of the leather crap behind the seats.

i think that might do it under $2000. it's all about the power to weight ratio.
