Default i need advice for the track..

tomorrow i'm going to Sears Point for the Wednsday nite drag racing.. i've been there before.. but never in my stook.. only in a civic.. and i wanted advice from others who have taken it down the quarter mile..

1. What RPM should i dump the clutch to get an optimal launch?
2. What is a good tire pressure? Should i even deflate them?
3. Are burnouts necessary?

I appreciate the input..

I took my S2 to Sears Point last Wed night. It was my first time EVER dragging a car. Needless to say, I didn't represent us too well, but I'm learning. On my first run I got a disgusting 15.6, 2nd run was better at 15.0 then my third and final run was at 14.82 (I dialed in at 14.9) The first time I was nervous as hell and hit the rev limiter in 1st a few times, then the 2nd run I dropped the clutch at about 6K and didn't feather the throttle. On my last run I was going to drop it at 6.2K, but instead of side-stepping the clutch, I rode it up with my foot and bogged. Each time I did a little burnout, mainly cause it was kinda fun, I didn't check the tire pressure at all and I had about 1/2 a tank of gas.

Hope you have better luck than I did, launching this car is an Art!

No, I can't go tomorrow night, I'd like to, but I've got this thing called work I didn't see any other s2000's there, but if you see a yellow '92 Legend, introduce yourself, his name is Christian and he helped my out last time...
Hopefully I'll be able to get in another day here pretty soon, but not this week.

Don't just dump the clutch... slip it then once you grab put the pedel to the metal. 92 Texaco ontane is all I used.

good luck
