i'm pissed...i made it to the track a lil after 5...and BLAM... a long ass line ... i never made it in..2nd week in a row it sold out.. i think next Wed i'mma leave work early... i might feel under the weather that day *cough* ..

Violation: As for info on wed nite drags...you gotta get there at 4ish..cuz since a lot of people are dragging their bikes now.. the space is limited cuz at 10pm sharp they end the races..even if its not finished.. If your down to go let me know.. we could meet up in Vallejo and roll there together..

Elevation.. u wouldn't recommend dumping it? so do i just let it slightly grab before i punch it? what RPM would you suggest? I appreciate the advice.. the more input.. the better experience i'll have..

Well I've done some street racing out here and it seemed that when I launch at 7 grand that the S2 tends to bog some. So here's what I do step by step

Roll-in the the stage position

Pull up the E brake

Throw it into 1st

Rev that F20 to 8 g's

Holding the E brake button so it's ready to be dropped!

As soon as the third yellow goes off on the tree release the clutch and when you get some traction drop the E brake and GAS IT!

Shift smoothly at 9 grand and by the end of the 1/4 you should be in 4th at about 5000 rpm's or so.

It all happens so fast, but it's exciting. Little by little you'll get the hang of it.

By the way what's the elevation there and how hot is it?

Oh yeah I beat a Stock Acura NSX by 2 one hundreths of a sec. whooo hooooo. It was Spa Yellow vs. Spa Yellow Pearl

BigRed, do NOT slip the clutch. This will smoke your clutch, and is not recommended.

The only reason I hold the E brake is sometimes their is a downgrade "all tracks arn't perfect" and it's kind of embarassing if you roll-off the staged position. It's something my racing buddies and I have done for years and have gotten used too.

i found that at times i roll off stage (in my old Civic), but what i was told is that since it is completely flat.. you must come to a COMPLETE stop and you shouldn't roll..i dunno.. but it works for me.. okay.. what is the difference with "side stepping" and "dumping"? thanks...

I have came to the understanding that "sidstepping" is when you put the egde of your shoe on the edge of the clutch and just slip your foot of the side. ( i had to cut of the lower, left rubber stub off to do this easier) And dumping is when you just lift your foot off the clutch as fast as you can. Not as fast as sidestepping but good if you like some rubber on your tires.
