Thumbs down I need help!

Okay, I am literally a penis slap away from making a bite for my next vehicle. My two choices are:

1.) 2005 Honda S2000
2.) 2005 Acura TL Navi

I know both are diff. driving experiences. What I'm looking for from you guys/gals here are [B]your likes/regrets[B] about either the S2000 or the TL (or both for those who may own both on this board).

I appreciate the help!

I think you will get a biased opinion comming to this forum...99.9999999% of us are going to say S2000 obviously. The two cars you are choosing from are in a totally different class from each other. One is practical for a family and not nearly as fun to drive and vice versa, depending on what other cars you have. Both are excellent cars.

if you want something practical, everyday driver, get the TL. weekend roller, get the S2k. I don't drive my S2K everyday.... I'm not sure how many people here do.

I understand your dilemma. A few months ago I was considering various makes and models, including the G35 Couple, Z4, 350Z Roadster, and Boxster to name just a few. Well, I now own an 05 S2000 and love every moment of it. I wanted a car that is FUN, sporty, but reliable in that I drive about 20k each year.

I see that you are in So. Florida also, hence, a convertible is certainly the way to go. Cruising down A1A, night or day, with the top down is simply bliss.

S2000 likes: FUN, sporty, great looks, reliable, decent gas milage, easy to maintain, excellent mechanical quality record.

S2000 dislikes: A bit tight in the cabin, stereo is so-so, lacks electronic gizmos found in similar vehicles.

If you can handle a 2 seater and want FUN / reliable top down driving, head on over to Pompano Honda for a great deal! Good luck!

interesting that you should pose that question, b/c the TL and S2000 were my top two choices also when i was doing my car search. as usual, what it comes down to is what you're looking for in a car. my top priority was something with great handling in the low $30K range. i'm single and didn't need extra seats in back or a big trunk; your situation may be different. i test drove the TL, and as feature-packed as it was, i didn't like the handling. it's fast and has lots of torque down low, but in the end, just too much body motion going thru turns. plus, you have the torque steer to contend with. it just felt "big" too me, and not nimble enough. don't get me wrong, it's a fine sedan, just not what i was looking for in the handling dept. after the TL test drive, i went to a honda dealer and test drove the S2000 and well, the rest is history.

I've had a new S2000 for a little over a month. I love it. I drive it every day, and the fact that it's a two seater has turned out not to be a problem, at least so far. I'm almost looking forward to the commute now!

No regrets.
