Default I need help with my shifter.

I bought my '01 about 5 Month's ago. When I bought it from the Dealership, the shift knob was aligned correctly. I then bought a Voodo shift knob, with the 6 speed engraving from Ricks. When I put it on, the 6 speed engraving is almost exactly upside down. I tried to put my OEM shift knob back on, and that is off as well. Is there anyway to get the knob to line up properly? I don't know what to do about it, but it's kind of annoying to have a $90 shift knob that doesn't even line up properly. It just won't get tight and line up, it's either I tighten the knob and it's crooked, or I leave it loose and risk it falling off on me.

Thanks for any help, I just don't know what's wrong with the thing.

Put a few drops of Loctite BLUE on the threads before you screw the knob on. Screw it all the way down then back it off until the engraving is where you want it. Let it sit for a couple hours to set. Thats it! Do not use Loctite red. If you do, you will need a blowtorch to get your shiftknob off next time! Good luck!

P.S. The stock knob came with a seperate nut that was tightened after the shift pattern was aligned!

Hmm. I don't specifically remember the OEM knob having a seperate nut, but that makes complete sense. Although it'd look rather stupid having that nut on there with the Rick's knob. I guess I will buy some Loctite. Although I was afraid I'd never get it off haha.

PS- Does MY01 have a clock by any chance, I didn't see anything about it in the Manual, but I saw someone mention it in another thread.

That is in the AP2's not the AP1's. I don't think the '00 or '01's have a clock. The '02's have a clock on the OEM headunit, but not the dash.
