Red face I need Help Please?

Ok How do I properly check engine oil??? Checked oil it reads really low i don't know why

If the dipstick indicates that the oil is low, that probably means that the oil is low, so why don't you just add enough to bring it up to the fill mark.

Do you have some reason to believe that the dipstick is giving you an incorrect reading?

Im clueless man i never had this problem untill i started changing the oil myself lol ok i did my first oil change a while back i put 4 bottles but it wasent enough so i put one more i havent driven the cat for a whole day it reads low i don't know i think i got a problem a big one i don't know what to do???
car is 04 24k miles i hardly drive it well kinda

I also don't want to add more oil if it don't need it the oil reads low car off i turn the car on for a while then check it again it seems fine but im not satisfied im really confused

Please anybody else have any suggestions im not dumb i know how to check oil lol just confused at the moment 1500 more miles till next oil change its really bugging me i go into vtec alot when i drive it and if the oil is really low then its a problem don't want to blow up my motor

The car takes 5.1 quarts...so if you are using 1 bottle = 1 quart you need at least 6 bottles.

The car should be on level ground, and better if its cold. If you just put in new oil it can be hard to see where the oil level is. Generally speaking you should be good with jsut 5 quarts in there since you most likely did not drain ALL the oil out when you ddi your oil change.

Hey thnx man so ur saying whenever i do and oil change i need to put in 5 bottles or 6 i don't want to over flow it? i always read oil when its cold this i know but if what ur saying is true then i need one more bottle since i only used 5 when i did my oilchange thnx i can sleep now lol
