Default I need help for tire size

I just brought my car in for a check up, and the dealer said that my rear tires are fading. So I decided, what the hey!, it's a good excuse for me to buy rims. So I want to know if this tire configuration would work (215/35/18) -- for added information I am planning to buy the RH evolution D6000 -- if that helps any, hope these fit on the car without rubbing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance

sir1027,

215/35/18 is too thin of a tire. You want to run as close to the stock diameter as possible (24.8 inches).

Here are examples of 18 inch tires that have pretty close overall diameter measurement of 24.8 inches:

Front:

225/40/18 (25.0)
215/40/18 (24.8)

Rear:

255/35/18 (25.0)
245/35/18 (24.8)
285/30/18 (24.8)

Tire size will also depend on the wheel you are buying.

What are the specs on the RH evolutions (offset, wheel width)?

Well I just learned that these wont fit on my car. The width on the tires have to be 8 1/2 on the front, and 9 on the back? Is this true?

the rims won't fit? or the tires won't fit?

I guess it depends on who you are talking to. You can squeeze up to 8.5" in the front and 10.5" in the rear. I'd recommend 8"'s and 10"'s though. If they said that the tires won't fit, well... they could be wrong and going by factory tire sizes and are reluctant to deviate from it. If they say the rim doesn't fit, it could be the offset of the wheel.

Gotta picture of the rim in question?

Well people have suggested to go 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the back. And these rims are only one piece, they said that I have to get 3 piece wheels, and the ones I want are 1 piece. Does anyone know where I can get rims that look like these?
