Having owned both a 97 vette and 01 s2000....I'd say either keep the z or sell it, save the dough and get an M3 in a few years. I downsized a bit but not by choice....as for that honda reliability....BS....Honda is buying my S back after a very short 11mos love affair....dig the car, but miss the Torque and think that this car still has some serious quality control and design flaws. Read this board and you will see what I'm talking about.

Is there really that much difference in $$$ between the hit you would take on the Z and buying a S at a little under MSRP? Buy the S if you want one of the most nimble topdown rides you can get today.....don't buy it for the power, reliability, or uniqueness....there are more and more of these around and floggin the crap out of that gearbox can become tiresome at times.

I took the pictures.

It's a 2 year old Sony Mavica FD-83.

It's use a floppy disk. It was about $650 new, but now since it's old, you could probably find it for $300 or less. I took the pics on 1216x912 and then resized them. Some of my friends get obseesed with having the highest max res, but this camera has always worked great for me. I also did the mpeg videos with it, as it writes mpegs on the fly onto the floppy disk. Those can be seen here: http://get.to/s2002

Another cool feature is - - it lets you take pictures onto a floppy which can easily be put into any pc without software. Say you meet up with another S2000 owner. It has a COPY feature. After you take pics on the original floppy, you can store all the pics in memory before you take the disk out. It will then let you put in a blank floppy, and will write all the data/pics onto the new disk so you can give it to your friend, and you still have a copy on the original disk.

Hope this helps.

of course it doesnt have as much power as your z06 but it is a blast to drive, which is an understatement. When i was buying my s2000 my dealer said two former z06 owners returned their s2000 because it wasnt fast. Before you buy your s2000 i hope you understand that it is in a different class than the zo6

Don't misunderstand my following statements....I am not saying this to be a jerk.

My thought? Of course, you should drive one first. If you still want us to convince you after that, I recommend looking at other options. A car like this has to inspire enough passion on its own to where you know deep down in your blood that this is the car you want. If you are uncertain, my guess is that you won't be a happy owner. Some nice rides you own!! Best of luck to you.

As others have said, if you're desiring low-rpm torque, you'll be disappointed. But if you're looking for an oversized gokart without a hint of practicality that is also among the rarest cars on the road (a real headturner 'round these parts, anyway) which is more than just another *me-too* roadster wannabe, the S has been waiting for you. I kid you not in asserting I would not trade it for any other car. Me and this car were made for each other, mentally and physically. The clean styling, the handling, the tone, the way it just *holds* the driver in its arms. I love this car. Test drive a used one that you can VTEC and it will either sell itself or you two weren't meant for each other.

Here's Elle in all her stock glory:

Also remember that the Z06 handles much better than the S2K.

Just put it this way, a S2K owner who test drives a Z06 will be amazed. I can't say the same for a Z06 owner test driving a S2K!

This we can all agree, correct?
