Unhappy I need some pointers...

I just got my ap2 not too long ago and previously owning 2 240sx's thought there wouldn't be much difference in doing a few drifts and donuts, on closed courses obviously, but I'm finding it kinda difficult making that tail spin like the 240's, ive tried it with and with out the VSA on, any tips? maybe i need a bit more practice on it. Let me know your guys experience... THX

If you want tail slides, the older ones are better...

yeah S's are pretty hard to get the tail out, best bet would be give it speed, or come to a complete stop then twitch the steering wheel to get it into the slide

Get new tires, assuming you still have the OEM RE050 tires on the car. They're heavily geared towards understeer. A new set with 225 front, 255 rear will produce a much more "daringly neutral" car.

(And, of course, if you're not doing this in an appropriate location at a drift event, get a ticket, or wreck your car or somebody else's, or injure yourself or somebody else, that's your own damn fault and no responsibility of mine.)

I was gonna suggest getting another set of 8.5" rear wheels and run the non-staggered 245 setup. That surely should help keep the grip on the front and lose some traction on the rear. Or stretch 225's on the 8.5" wheels all around...Even easier to break traction. But turn off the vsa first because as soon as you break traction on those rear wheels the vsa will apply the brakes on the rears to gain the traction back.

All and all, you're trying to do something that the Honda engineers focused on avoiding at all costs. S2000 is a grip car...Not a drift car. Hence the several ideas I mentioned above to help you out. Take the car out to a canyon or mountain run and enjoy the silly grin you're going to get all through the run.

Thanks guys. Don't worry elistan I try this in a close course my buddy's dad owns a warehouse and has a huge parking lot wich he lets me use once in a while just as long as no one or nothing is in danger of getting hit. Ive gotten so many crap with cops and tickets that i could've done some great mods to my AP with that money.

go non-staggered setup without any aero mods (e.g. gtwing) .
rear will surely break
