Hello all, this is my first post to this site. I have to say of all the S2000 sites out there, this one is by far the best and most informational. I have a 2004 S2K and am ready to start the mods. I wish to start with the exhaust first and I think I've narrowed it down to 3 but there are so many out there with so many different configurations. This is where you guys come in. I need your input and expertise. Also, I'm planning on adding a supercharger so I'm unsure if this would have an effect on the exhaust system I choose today.
The three (I believe) that I have narrowed it down to are:
1. Invidia HS00HS1GP Dual
2. RS*R ExMag GTII Dual
3. Amuse R1 Extra Tital Dual
A loud and powerful sounding exhaust is important to me.
I also have these questions as well:
1. Should I also consider changing the header, and why?
2. I don't have to worry about emissions so what can I do to the car to benefit from this freedom?
I'm excited to get going on this project but I definitely want to make sure I'm putting the right mods on. I don't want to do something, just to do it. Performance is the key whether it be sound, or acceleration or whatever. Please help with these questions, cuz I'm trying to figure it all out. Thanx!
I tried to solve the drone of the Invidia by adding a hemoltz resonator but I don't think it made a significant difference. Yes the Invidia is LOUD but has an incredible sound at wot. Make sure you get silencers just in case you can't take the noise level for extended periods.
I've been told that the headers on the 04 and 05's needn't be replaced, but how do you guys feel about this? Is it worth it to do the headers since I will be adding a supercharger? Also, would you guys stick with a cat or go to a test pipe? Thanx again
