I Predect By 2003...
Not to knock the 3000GTs but they were big, heavy cars - even the twin tubo models. Quick 0-60 times for the turbo, but a lot of heft to corner and drag around. Very little room for either driver or any luggage. I guess a used one at a nice price would be a fun car, but my 2000 'vette convertible sold for just a lille more than the current bid price - and it is A LOT better car
I do agree that their will be G35s and Z's everywhere. Someone was saying they would hold price better than the S2000 - I would think as long as supply exceeds demand and dealers are gouging prices that would be true. Once things settle down, there should be tons of "me first" folks getting rid of theirs and it should be a buyer's market for getting one used.
I would consider it VS an S2000 - if they made the convertible available now.

One thing I have always looked for in a car I was getting is the uniqueness of it in my area. I have only seen one 350z on the road but within a year Im sure I will see them all over the place and I will feel happy I have my unique S2K.
I watched the 1st half of MNF last night - I swear there was a Z ad in EVERY commercial break. They may be selling them as quick as they can make them right now, but Nissan sure wants to keep the "buzz" up on the car.
I think the drop-top Z is supposed to be coming in the spring, but who knows. It may depend on sales - if they are still strong then maybe they wait a while. Bring it out later and some of the early Z buyers will trade in their coupes for convertibles
I wonder how stiff the drop top will be? A couple of Saturdays ago I test drove a 2000 S2000 (w/33k miles), a 2002 Z3 (4k miles) and my 'vette (2000 w/16k miles). The S2000 was by far the stiffest car - no cowl shake. It was easy to spot in the Z3 and in my car, but even driving across some railroad tracks there was little shake/flex in the S2000.
