The S2000 has been locked in the garage for two months and today I paid a visit.

The garage is unheated and detached so I was hoping I wouldn't have any trouble starting the car.

Off with the cover and into that great Recaro seat I go....

Key in, clutch in, turn the key and press the button - Fired right up!!

Two months in the bitter Chicago cold and no problems firing up. I let it run for about 10 minutes and shut it down. The cover went back on and I scheduled another visit with her in about a month.

 

For a black car, it sure runs good, eh?

Black is the slowest color, but it's good to know that at least it started after all that neglect you have thrown her way...

Bah! Locked away... this weekend was perfect for cruising. Put almost 130 miles on the Stook over the weekend. She's as shiny as the day we picked her up. Even got to wax her in the heated garage.

Seriously, though... I understand the whole storage thing. But I love to drive the car way too much to put it away for a long period of time. We're taking a road trip down to Knoxville next weekend. The other issue is we need to put mucho miles on before the autocross season starts... 3rd weekend in February is the first event. (in FL)

 

hey chicago honda owners...how's the rust warranty hold up back there....just wondering..
