I search for some documentation!
Hello to my fellow s2k owners.
I'm here for some help!
I purchased, around a year ago, an 2000 GPW S. The car has had some tough times. It has parts from other S and its been crashed before. Now I want to know the history of the car and possibly track down the original owner or at least the one who replace the parts including the soft top. So I can have a better history and possibly some documentation.
The car is a 2000 model, its on GP White and the vin number is JHMAP1145YT009177
I do not have access to CarFax, the car is now on Puerto Rico
Any help would be of great value

No idea who its previous owners were or what they did, but I can tell you that your car is the 31st-from-last MY00 S2000 made (highest MY00 VIN is 9207), and it was built in August '00. It's also the 9th-from-last GPW MY00 car; the final 8 GPW cars were its assembly-line companion VIN #9178, and the last seven MY00 cars (VINs 9201-9207).
After that, August '00 production continued with a run of 88 Silverstone/Black cars to start the MY01 model year. This run included MY01 VIN #0001, which was the first of just four valid "0001" U.S. production VINs. There were 11 potential 0001 VINs: one to start each of the 10 model years, plus one when the VIN serials restarted midway through MY04, when production shifted from Tochigi to Suzuka. The other three valid 0001 VINs are all AP2s: MY05 (Silverstone/Black), MY07 (Rio Yellow), and MY09 (Berlina Black/Black). What happened to the other seven 0001 VINs? They would have been used as test mules/quality-check examples to prove out the form/fit/finish of the newly-introduced car (MY00), the newly-introduced upgrades/options in (MY02, MY04, MY06, and MY08), the newly-introduced tan interior (MY03), and the newly-introduced Suzuka production line (MY04 "S" VINs).

Looks like it's been in San Juan since at least 2008 when it was serviced by Honda de San Juan at 47,000 miles. Maybe they can help.
