Default I should have known!!!!!!

just picked up my S2000 from the dealer. Took it in for 3 reasons, 1: oil change, 2: paint peeling on the bumper 3:door guard fell off.
I drive away, park at the drugstore and while walking away notice a ding on the car. Right in between the side marker and the S2000 badge. Took it immediately back in, was told that it was probably from a rock chip. In the meantime, while they had my car all day long, all they did was change the oil and replace the door guard. According to them, they are not responsible for the paint peeling because it was caused by damage. (i'll try to post a picture of it later). I get home, and decide, to check my oil, let the car sit for 5 minutes to drain, and pull the dipstick out, looks clean, put it back in, pull it out again, and it's still clean. Why? Because there is no oil! Check my receipt, they only put in 4 quarts of oil, instead of 5.1. they didn't even bother turning the maintenance required light off!!

there's going to be some screaming tomorrow at that dealership!!!

Moral of the story. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO OURISMAN HONDA IN BETHESDA!!!! I should have known, but stubborn me decided to go in anyways.

yea, you hear all these horrible stories of these people who represent honda trying you F you up in any way. You only have their attention if you "buyING" and car, Once you "bought" it they can care less. I say we storm each dealership, barrackade ourself in and hold the salesmen hostages.

as for your peeling paint, if it is at the place your bumper meets the front fender? it is not due to damage, but poor honda-ship.

take it back and either have them fix it or do what i did, had it documented, my peeling is small and i don't want the hassle of a body shop screwing it up worse, but if it gets bad i wanted it known by the dealer.

as for the other stuff, i can't agree more, they are your best buddy til the day you drive it away, then you have to fight for every little thing, and the first thing out of the mouths of every dealer alive is..."it is your fault, not ours"

I guess we all will need to go to Rothensal Honda in VA .....

This really should go on the local papers, I really would like to see what other customers in the commnunity feel about these crooks.

By the way, Herson's Honda is on the black list as well.

Hey Fed... here's my story...

Took my S2K to Andersen Honda in Baltimore... Had to leave it there for an extra day because of business travel... Got there right before the service dept closed, and I was excited to get home and clean her up (Honda doesn't bother to wash any of their serviced cars...). In the driveway while walking away, saw not one but 2 dents right above the passenger fron fender; obviously from a person leaning on the sheetmetal while working on my car... Not just that, they backed up my car (or parked another car) on another car's license bracket bolt (perfect 10mm puncture).... Of course they said this was there when I got there... I am still dealing with these god da#* fu*!@$@ today to get this resolved, though I did have the dents pulled out by a local dent-removing expert.... Car was less than 3 months old...

ADD THIS TO YOUR LOG: DON'T GO TO ANDERSEN HONDA IN BALTIMORE !!!

I guess we will all just have to travel 40 miles or more to get our car serviced at a decent place. That or start doing our own maintenance work!! So much for the free oil changes they gave me when I bought the car. They are not worth the hassle. I don't know about you guys, but I couldn't sleep last night because of it. To think about it, I was ready to file a police report this morning if I had to!! I'm hoping I will get the pictures of where my paint is peeling tonight. I'll post them up then. Just so that you know, my paint is peeling on the inside lip of the bumper that curves into the wheel well. I told them I didn't even want to worry about that, and that I would wait until it started peeling somewhere else to bring it back in (but certainly not in to them!!!!).
