Default I wonder about Hytech headers?

Hey guys,

I know if you guys are familiar with Hondas and their B-series motors, you know of Hy Tech headers and exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has done a custom header from them- if I can recall correctly I remember seeing an S2000 with Hytech header and exhaust with a ITB setup that was insane. I'm planning to stay NA and was wondering if HyTech might be the solution for more power than the Mugen or Toda headers (which I hear mixed responses for).

I'll talk to HyTech to see if they have any plans for development and was wondering if people might be interested in a GB in the future- as these headers are generally very expensive and it'd be nice to get the prices down a bit.

Why was the car insane? Because it was loud?

I know about HyTech, and I agree, they build headers that rival and even better the quality and power production of the popular Japanese makes. Their header applications are more for pure racing though, because most of the designs I see eliminate the cat converter altogether. I would be very interested if they decide to start making products for the S2000.

Hey guys,
I couldn't get a hold of Hy Tech, so I talked to Omni at Dynamic Autosports because they did a lot of work with Hy Tech. He said that they do make an S2000-specific application. If you look at their website, you can see that they do work with Formula cars and many drag applications. I know they're famous for their Tri-Y header design, can someone explain the benefits of this type of collector?

sorry but it's really hard to truly tell how a car pulls from a video. So it goes back to my point you think the car is insane because it made a lot of noise.

This could also be attributed to the 4.77 gears he had in conjunction with the other parts previously mentioned.

i think the only set of headers made for the s2000 were for Art/topfuel's car...on that note his in in the sept. issue of "IMPORT RACER" magazine...the day after i sold my toda header i called up hytech to purchase their header/exhaust combo....the original design was lost due to topfuel getting his car taken away...so they have to make up another one...John at Hytech said he is making a kit kit for the s2000 that will be ready by the end of the year...they have to finish making the cams...

the kit will consist of: (from what ive been told..........)
Hytech Header
Hytech exhaust (dual w/ race titanium mufflers) or can custom a single
AEM EMS
Hytech cams
Hytech valve springs
Hytech intake manifold or ITB's

I sir am waiting for this kit to come out...

When I last spoke to John @ HyTech, he told me he would take my car in as the test car, as long as I bought an AEM EMS. He said he would not do it without an EMS.

I didn't have a spare $1000 to throw for an EMS, so basically I kind of gave up.
