I am looking at getting a V-AFC. I want to mount it in my car so that it looks good. I have seen some that are on top of the dash or attached to a vent and I think they just look to tacked on. I am thinking about installing it either flush in the dash somehow or inside the radio door and cut a whole in the door so that it comes through. Does anyone have any suggestions or other ideas on what I could do?

Wesmaster, thats not too bad. But does it get in the way at all? I am really looking for a more flush and custom installed look. Thanks for the pic though.

sorry no pix but it really looks nice there. Just make sure that you put like a frame around it so it would look flush

 

You could have it bondo'ed into the stereo area like my MP3 LCD is. Notice the green LCD.

 

mine is on my dash. I was in the process of moving it to mount it in place of that damn little change holder thingy behind the...uhm...cupholder thingy I got almost all the way done and then realized I don't have enough wire so I'd have to splice some more length onto the wires. I'm still set on doing this however, just not right now. I'd look into doing it there. I think it'd look great

 

I agree. I had my older MP3 LCD there before. Got really tired of not being able to drop change in there. I think it's a good place for the VAFC, although it's not the most accessible place.
