Please remember that we will be opening up the registration to other makes (most likely NSX's) on THIS THURSDAY at 6:30. Now, what that means is a few things:

It won't be an all/only S2000 event...we obviously want this to be just S2000's.

As YU888 pointed out to me last night, anyone who doesn't go will have to live with the embarrassement and shame of their friends for not going to freaking LAGUNA SECA when you had the chance! How could you live with yourself!?

We have a number of open slots still, but applications are coming in. If you are on the fence, you must decide before Thursday at 6:30, as I think then the doors will be closing shortly thereafter...

So, get your registration in ASAP and let's have a blast on January 14th...!

OK, it's opening up to non-S2000's tonight...get in while the gettin' is good!

 

OK you "shamed" me into it. Just submitted my registration. Couldn't stand that there would be other than S2000's running on S2000 day. I'll be joining the Team AZ/TX/Irvine caravan.

 

To all those running at Laguna Seca my hat is off to you, that is one of the tracks I would love to run at some day. You see I live about an hour away from Watkins Glen so I'm on the other side of the country from you. Enjoy the Corkscrew for me and I'll think of you as I go storming down into the Boot at The Glen! Enjoy and be safe!!!

 

I think it's a crying shame that we couldn't fill the registration with s2ks. I'd sure like to know what people's reasons were for passing up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Yes, I know there are other LS events, but to have an exclusively s2k event would have been so cool.

Cal, I hear ya, man...we are disappointed that it won't be all S2000's. I was REALLY surprised that after S2KCA members signed that the same frenzy of registration didn't really take place for non S2KCA members. Crazy!! We were all like ----->

We have 9 slots left...so if you are planning to come out, you better get in now. And I'm not kidding...we budgeted this event to be very affordable for folks...the fee includes a continental breakfast and a catered lunch...AND a killer event t-shirt.

I realize that people put off paying as long as they can, but in this case it can only hurt your chances of getting in...I hate to sound like a broken record...but if are planning on going, you are only diminishing your chances by waiting.

So, get in now if you are going to at all...

The cars that are applying have to go through an approval process. I think NSX's, M3's and other cars should have no problem...but it's not really up to us. We are currenly spreading the word to our friends at the NSXCA about the day being open now. We'll also get word out to other clubs, as well.

 

I would LOVE to go as I live only 10 minutes away in Monterey! However, I am in the middle of selling my daily driver (Toyota 4x4) because I have no money. So, as I am very envious of you guys and would certainly love to go, there is no way I am affording it. Tell you what? If you want this to be an all S2000 event why don't each of you pitch in a couple of dollars and then I could go?? what do you think? Well, if not I really hope you guys have a great time! You're really lucky and hopefully I can come just to watch and meet you guys. See ya
