Default windshield tape

i removed my windshield and it looks alot better.. but after i pulled it up i noticed that the rubber some what looked loose and didn't look quite right is there anyway to fix that?

u removed your windshield?

uhh.. as for the tape... what rubber? on the rag top? pics might help. or a lil more description.

Removed mine and no problems with weather strips.

lol sorry windshield tape. i guess it's the weather strip as stated by rare m5.. as for my description after you take off the windshield tape it's to black lane/boundaries it's the inner one closer to the windshield/glass.
it was/is loose i just want to know what's the safest and easiest way to get it looking good again

mine did the same thing when i removed my windshield tape... i let it be and it laid back down a little on its own... id say replacing it is the only way to fix it... that stuff is anal retentive

Are you talking about the part of the rubber weatherstrip that touches the paint? If so, this pops up all of the time on mine and it's no big deal to get it to lay back down again. If you look at it carefully, you will see that it's up too high and it should be down in the groove next to the glass. I just gently push it back towards the glass and down into the groove and it's OK again. This happens usually when I'm washing the car and hit it with the hose.

once it heats back up in the sun it will lay flat again....

I thought mine was loose too, but I noticed this as I just started to pull off the windshield tape off. I went over to the other side of the car where the window tape was still on the car, and the weather stripping was in the same condition. My guess was it was just a little soft from being in the sun all day.
