VTEC is Great!!! Just stay in it and you are set! I always try to be above 7000rpm before I race anyone. It sure helps in the win category.

Another tip for high HP / low torque cars. Keep excess weight to a minimum. Junk in the trunk, topped off gas tank, heavy large diameter wheels, big stereo, or a passenger slow ya down more than they do a torque monster vehicle. Torquers can also go up hills without downshifts. Honda made the shifter so fast and sweet for a reason!!

Does anyone know how to adjust the idle on our cars? I'm trying to get mine to sit on about 6000rpm.

I just got mine like a monthe ago, and I was just wondering at what RPM does V-TECH engage in our cars?

It's about 5700RPM, I think. I use the audible tachometer as opposed to the visible
