Default Illegal to remove amber turn signals?

I was thinking about replacing my amber turn signals with clear ones, both on the sides and front of the car.
However, a friend told me this was illegal. Anyone know?

You can remove the amber plastic and use an amber bulb, giving you a clear look but a legal turn signal.

Check with your states laws on turn signals

Legality probably involves seller, not buyer.

Modacar has the whole unit for $1,000
but that seems excessive. I'm sure you can just get clear covers for less

You can clear the headlights yourself. I found some LED bulbs but they draw too little current and blink fast (rice). So I am working on finding out what size resistor to use.

Side markers can be purchase from both Rick and Muz.

you can clear your lights out yourself, or buy the Euro lights from MG Racing. w/the Euro lights, you will not blind oncoming traffic because they are designed for left hand drive cars.

Clear them out yourself and save the $900 bucks for something else for the car....

They look better anyway.... IMO!
